Hi there and welcome.
I moved your post into it's own thread because you will get more responses that way.
I am not sure of the age of your bird but I would say that it is a she!
Someone will be along to offer taming advice soon.

Hi there and welcome! I can't help with the gender question but with my buds, time is patience and patience is time . They will do their own thing in their own time, so slow it down lots, even a sudden move during millet hand feeding can set them off. So take your time, talk softly, wink and squint a hell of a lot, and let them make their own pace. I have two out of three who are very tame naturally and one who is still resisting but by being gentle, slow and predicable I hope to make progress good luck, it always pays off!

Patience, persistence and perseverance. You need these three P's for the bird to come to have trust in you. It must be earned; they don't give it lightly, and that can take a lot of time, depending on how the bird was raised as a chick. You need to start small, no great expectations and work at the bird's pace; don't push it. You little bird must be around 3-4 months old as she is going through a moult, or has done recently. Agree with Marianne that she is a she.

Hello!! I can only give you one tip (as I am a rookie) and that is if you give it time you need to actually give it to the bird. Something I've learned is that just by sitting next to their cage you are actually bonding with them and making your presence known. So it's PPP like Hezz mentioned, also spending hours with the bird so that it knows what to expect the next day, to be with you and see you. So treat it good and it will long for you everyday! Taming can be time-consuming to say the least *(so if you can't provide the single bird with that necessity then you should consider getting it a friend.) God bless you and buddy, hope it works out. Here is a link to my journey with my friends with pics and clips, as I said I am still learning therefore I hope, you too, can learn from this website: budgerigarsforum.proboards.com/thread/11493/hello-budgie-world-3

Thanks for your help everyone i really appreciate it and it helped me a lot. I am bonding with her and everything is great but recently her leg started to hurt she's always sitting on one leg and if I try to touch it she would bite me. I'm not sure what to do?

Do you have a photo of her standing on one leg? Budgies do this all the time to rest one leg, how can you be sure it's injured?

Hopefully she has only caught it somehow, or given it a knock and with luck she will be back to normal very soon.
