Just wondering if anybody's birds were afraid/weary of this rotating food pots. Billie has eaten out of them but doesn't look hardly as much as his old pots in his old cage. Only had the cage since Wednesday tho.

We have the piano 6 and they use them no prob - but were unsure at first. We put a couple of perches near to help them as they did find it tricky to fly onto the little round bits on the feeder.

Sky was a little but give him time, he will be fine. Anything new usually takes some time for them to feel comfortable, I wouldn't worry about it.

We left a little bit of millet on top of the food in the feeder to tempt them to try them out - which seemed to work well

Bless him, sometimes I found Sky would be a bit apprehensive as she would look through the clear bit of the food pots at me sort of worried, but that's completely gone now. Do you have water in the other one? Has he had some water out of it? See how he goes, it's probably because it's all new again, he will feel safe over time and he might not be eating lots as he's still a bit nervous. It's good he has eaten some millet by the way - I just had a thought though maybe he hasn't eaten much of his normal food as he's full from the millet, could that be a possibility? As I think it's quite filling (and fattening lol).

We have the Ferplast Ibiza with the rotating pots.Along with the drop down front it was what convinced us to get this cage, but although the feed pots are great for changing seed they are not ideally designed for buds to feed out of them.Best way we have found is to have a perch close to the seed pot "steps".
