So I picked up my new little buddy tonight after work. I let him settle in a while and, after reading the taming sticky, I put my hand in the cage. He stood still and got right on my finger when I pressed gently against his breast. I did it a couple more times and I cooed and blinked and talked gently to him. He actually stood on one leg on my finger, did a really big stretch and what looked like a yawn. I left him alone for about 45 minutes then went back and tried again. Same result. I think he is going to be great!

I hope so. But don't be surprised if he starts to not cooperate in a few days to a week's time. This just means that he is more settled and now not so scared, so wants to see what he can and can't do.

I can't wait to start hearing little budgie chatter! I won't mind when he becomes more challenging
