Good luck at the vets with Misty. Your vet sounds really good, how nice of him not to charge the first time. I am sure Misty is in safe hands

I am probably too late, but is he simply going to drain it, this time, Shirls? Anyway hope goes/went well at the vets. Update when you can please.

No, you're not too late and thank you Hezz, the appt is at 10.00 this morning. Yes, hopefully the vet will drain it and then he said he would 'laser' it. He did say to not let the cyst get too big, but it had to be bigger than it was the first time he saw it, so fingers crossed he will deal with it today. I just hope that Missy copes with the anaesthetic. Thanks everyone for your good wishes, will let you know the outcome.

I hope he is able to laser it and finish the wretched thing once and for all. Good luck, Missy; be good and heal well.

Missy is home. Long story short, they did the op more or less while I waited and I had a walk and a coffee in Dover. The vet is in Dover btw!! She is fine. She has been hanging upside down on her swing flapping her wings, as she usually does! She does have a 'plaster' as the vet said it was bleeding too much and she has to go back on Monday to have it removed if she hasn't taken it off already.
Billy Boy is very naughty and kept attacking her after she was back in the big cage. I did keep her in the little cage, wrapped up and warm for quite a while whilst she recovered from the anaesthetic. Billy Boy also attacked Harvey when he was ill, but Missy stands up for herself and bops him back and stands her ground. I did have to keep a close eye initially as he wouldn't leave her alone and even pulled her wing feathers, little s*d!
I tried to take a picture of Missy's op but she would only show her best side bless her!! She is now and has been tucking into groats and seed. She has lost 8gms over the past weeks, so I am hoping now she will get back to her normal weight.
Thanks for all your good wishes. Oooh, by the way, when I signed the authorisation form it said the op would cost £100. !!!!!!!!!!!! Haven't paid the bill yet, as they were very busy and vet said take Missy home and keep her warm instead of waiting around.

Poor little Missy, I do hope she tucks into lots of grub and puts some weight back on.

Glad Missy is OK Shirls, a good feed, a good night's rest and I'm sure she will feel a lot better tomorrow. A lie down in a darkened room for you when you get the vet's bill though.

£100 for the OP. She is worth it though. You don't want many of those a week.

£100 doesn't sound over the top to me, in fact it sounds rather reasonable. Glad Missy came through with flying colours, and hopefully that will be the end of it.

A couple of pics of Missy and her 'plaster'. It looks like surgical tape. She is doing very well, despite having a little nibble round the tape now and then.

I am sure that all looks much worse than it is, ans she looks rather drained, but again, I am presuming that she is just have a little 40 winks.
