If i had the choice i would have a big brick built one with plumbing for a sink and storage sections, a large internal and external flight, a nursery flight and breeding cages. OH has made noises about building one but heaven knows if it will ever happen. I will just have to keep dreaming for now and be satisfied with my wooden one

There are a number of things to consider with a brick building. Of course they are better weatherproofed and the longevity is second to none. However there is damp, mould etc. especially with a concrete floor, so good aeration and a damp-proof should solve aany rising damp. A brick built shed will also take more heat to warm up, but will stay cool longer in the Summer. Then you need to think about the roofing material, for the comfort of the birds, they would be scared stiff with the sound the rain makes on my conservatory roof. No doubt you have thought of all this.

Mmmmmm.............more of a bungalow type arrangement really, one bed, little kitchen maybe, arm chair so that i can sit and watch them with a cuppa, you know the sort of thing
