I took Squawk back to the avian vet in Andover today for x-rays and blood tests, but when the vet saw him and his droppings he was really pleased and decided he didn't need them. Vet has put Squawk on pelleted diet, to be introduced gradually, and he's got to stay on the Avipro Avian for now. I've got to call the vet on Wednesday to give him an update on how Squawks taking to the food. I am so relieved things are finally looking up.

So do I Hezz, but he's taken his food ok and is as bright as a button. I suspect he could have been wrongly and overly prescribed antibiotics in the first place, when all he needed was something like Avipro Avian to rebalance his gut. I said all along apart from his droppings there was nothing else wrong in his presentation, which was why it never added up. Poor Squawk has been through the mill for sure. No wonder he's so crotchety at times.

It really is worth going them extra miles milliej. The difference in Squawk after 2 visits is amazing. This vet is cheaper as well.
