No, I don't have that one, though have often considered it as it has a lot of good features. I recently rejected it because of the size of the door - not big enough for me to get in & chase Bezukhov around for his every-other-morning medication. Love the photo... I can imagine Pickle saying "You go in first & I'll follow". Ah right, sorry.. thought it was that one!

If the grill at the bottom of the cage slides in and out you could put a sheet of paper on top of the grill and slide it in whilst you clean the bottom tray. Then slide the grill and paper out again when you put the tray back in.

OP yes thats the only way I can think of doing it too, having said that it doesn't normally matter if Pickle is out but when we have two???

That's the way I do it so I have time to clean the bottom tray without getting poop on the stuff on the shelf under the cage. I have also got the knack of sliding the grill in and sliding the sheet of paper into the tray. Waste not want not that's me.

Ooh I do like that cage especially if it has horizontal bars for climbing, some of the bigger ones are all vertical which my two wouldn't like (not that I'm getting one in the near future!!!) Am I right in thinking it has a slide out bottom tray with a grill on top, can you use it without the grill? I'm not keen on grills but think the tray that pulls out is essential! I also re-arranged our sitting room so the birds cages had more space to get round when cleaning them etc.

yes milliej the tray rolls in and out and the grill can be either left in or taken out, if you take the grill out and the tray out there is no bottom in the cage but I am just going to put the grille in when I clean the cage the rest of the time just the tray with paper in, I have transferred all Pickles things into it tonight, so I guess he is moving house!!

Lovely cage helenmat, I bought the toy you have, the one at the end of the red rope perch, it looks like a small punch bag, it'll take my two about 3 weeks before they pluck up the courage to go near it Did Pickle spend the night in his new home last night

jellybean pickle is scared of most new things at first, I have tried to put all his familiar things in similar positions but he is a bit frightened of the big scary house at the minute, he's coming round and was sat preening on his swing earlier. I have had to leave the rubber perches I have in for now, he loves them, I prefer wooden ones but I can't get anything long enough to fit, I am going to order some asap. I haven't seen him drink from his drinker yet but he had some water when he had his shower, he has eaten in the new cage though. He has been out of the cage a lot today anyway. He will be fine in a few days I am sure.

Found these at Jollyes, Liana wood perches, I have boiled and dried and attached with steel rings through a hole drilled in the end, he's got 3 of these and one rubber perch, he still doesn't seem impressed with the new cage and he won't come out through the door, been trying to entice him with millet but he is having none of it. I keep having to bring him out!
