I put the seed to one side yesterday when I put out some eggy for the birdies but Dumpling found it. Scoffed it.

When I started removing the seed for my guys and putting them onto more veges and grass, I used to sit it on the bench of the kitchen - found! Then, under their cage on the trolley - found! Then under a cover on the trolley - found! So now I leave the pots outside after I blow the husks off, until it is time for seed-fest again.

When I started removing the seed for my guys and putting them onto more veges and grass, I used to sit it on the bench of the kitchen - found! Then, under their cage on the trolley - found! Then under a cover on the trolley - found! So now I leave the pots outside after I blow the husks off, until it is time for seed-fest again. How is it they ALWAYS know?

Actually that is a good question - how good IS there sense of smell? Seems like Monts can smell orange a mile away?!

Actually that is a good question - how good IS there sense of smell? Seems like Monts can smell orange a mile away?! And Bluey can smell vegemite from the other end of the house! Some say yes, some say no, Sam. I think they would have to have had a fairly good sense of smell initially, as they would have to fly huge distances for water.

lol reminds me of our bertie man he will be right over to eat our of the bowl as we are filling it to make sure he gets what he wants first befor the other 5 can have a go. lol what wouold we do with out them.
