That's a shame about the others but good for a first clutch . Beautiful bowl of baby's , so lovely for the children . Its nice to be able to clean the box for them now isn't it, you may already do this but i used to keep 3 concaves on hand and just swap them for quickness

Thanks skysmum . Yes I was thinking the best way round cleaning them out then found some of the concaves in our local pet shop. Made life much easier. I was a bit worried about handling them, thinking they would be so delicate but I was surprised at how strong they are, and alert!

I was the same, they are much tougher than we think and once you have done it a couple of times its easy, just got to make sure they don't jump out of the bowl. The M&M's advert always reminds me of it, "get in the bowl"

I wonder what colour they'll be? I know nothing about all this but I am guessing a mix of their parents. Rio is the dad and all yellow with some green coming through on his back but apparently his dad was a violet spangle I believe... I'll be happy whatever, as long as they don't look like this..

Sweet little bubs, Gareth. Glad these two seem to be doing so nicely. Are the kids interested in "owning" them for themselves?

I'm hoping being with these little ones early on will give them more confidence again. My daughter hasn't been in the aviary that much as Izzy had bitten her a few times. Hopefully now she is a mum she's grown out of it a bit!

I hope so. That is the same situation I faced with Smudge, way back when. Even when she was (relatively) controlled, everyone else stayed very wary of her ...... with good reason, but then they didn't spend the time with her that I did, so didn't know how to call the bluff. Hopefully the little guys and Izzy's new-found maturity will get them back into the aviary.

That is truly fantastic and so lovely to watch Gareth. What a brilliant budgie mum Izzy makes. You can certainly see the 2 day age gap in the two babies. I shall be smiling all day now! Thank you!
