Love the update, Gareth; I am sure you are not tempting fate, but I do get where you are coming from.

The poor little guys have been cooking in the heat today. A bit too early to leave the nest yet but no harm in having a little look round

I know what you mean. I have reduced the drop and have made it a super soft landing for them. But I guess they don't know that. It must be like us squeezing through a hole head first with our arms behind our backs. I do feel for them and it's weird watching it from inside the nest box. He/she is getting really agitated and looks like he can't wait to get out. The smaller one is so vocal, I'm guessing a hen

Maybe it's a good thing they can't exit the nest too early. They may not be ready. Just watch the video which is served up after yours. Oh dear! it has disappeared. Never mind, I liked yours better anyway.

Bless them, you CAN tell the age difference between them can't you? They are really gorgeous. I think I remember you saying that you are keeping them, any names yet FFG???

Yes I'm a bit worried about the smaller one being left behind. It follows the bigger one everywhere (not that there are a lot of places to go in the box I have called Woody, Willow a few times by mistake and it's kind of growing on me for one of them. That's the only name so far though.. Yes going to keep them. This will probably be the last time breeding for a while. Looking forward to getting the aviary back to normal now.
