Just had a look at Blueboys cere this evening and it seems to be going lighter in the middle - like a hens cere would be when not in breeding condition. Can someone explain why this would happen?! Click on pic to enlarge and you'll see what I mean. It's taken with no flash. Thanks Marianne

With his health problems recently, it would make sense for him not to be in peak breeding condition now.

This cere means, going or already out of condition. His eggs won't be fertile if he is paired now. Well he wont be paired anyway. As you know BB, I don't breed my birdies

I know you know Any idea how to help calm Blueboy? What is not calm with him? He is always stressed out. He makes distressed noises, especially at night-time - we actually think he's even scared of the dark.

Can you leave a radio on low for him? Do you think that would help? And a night-light? Like a kiddies light?
