I have played back recordings of Bailey talking Fran, he listens intently and i know he recognises it. The words that seem to come through in between Budgie talk are far and few between but i can make out, Grey Day, Gorgeous and Good Boy. Ive not had multiple Budgies that live together talk samwiseg . The exception was my last flock, George 1st had started to talk as he was a lone budgie, i brought him a wife and it stopped apart from Pretty Boy which he continued to say, when he and Sky had babies they all picked it up from him and all said it in amongst Budgie ramblings

My new boy, Kevin has picked up Stuart's mumblings already. They sound so similar I have to check which one is talking. Unfortunately neither of them is particularly clear, but if I tell people what they're saying, the recognise it, so it's not all my wishful thinking lol.

We have stumbled on a little revelation in Budshire, a completely seed husk free cage and floor . My finches have always used a mess free feeder because they have to be the messiest feeders on the face of the earth but i didn't think the Budgies would get on with them because of their hooked beaks. Since Flora has been living with the budgies i had just one in their cage for her because she was used to it. Anyway, over time i have seen the budgies feeding from it now and then so thought i would try and switch them over. I'm pleased to announce that we have succeeded and now have 4 mess free feeders and not a seed to be seen, no removing husks and topping up every day just slide out the tray of husks at the bottom a couple of times a week and we are sweet, its only taken 50 years

Very good; clever Fauna for helping you keep your sweeping up to a minimum. I have seen something very similar for the larger birds but thought they were very expensive, I've looked for something to contain Loki's bulldozer tendencies while he burrows for the sunflower seeds. So, a couple of questions, please, Miss skysmum. Are they expensive and how do they fix to the cage ...?

So, a couple of questions, please, Miss skysmum. Are they expensive and how do they fix to the cage ...? Ahhh, good questions Hezz , be very careful. The price varies hugely, you can pay from £4 to over £20 which is silly money for them. I got my original ones from Gardenfeathers on line but they never seem to have them in stock these days so the new ones came from amazon and i paid about £5-£6 each. There are 2 types, mine have hooks at the back which hook over the bars inside the cage, the other type has a screw at the front which you can place outside the cage at a small open door. These are the two types, screw at the front for external www.amazon.co.uk/SHUXIN-Automatic-Container-Accessories-Chicken/dp/B0842PSFLK/ref=sr_1_46?adgrpid=97345987866&dchild=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIo4Lj0N7w6gIVUuztCh1ezg7wEAAYASAAEgJBcfD_BwE&hvadid=422674933124&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9046111&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=14278844680049963364&hvtargid=kwd-314031668523&hydadcr=7388_1812900&keywords=no+mess+bird+cage+feeder&qid=1595966542&sr=8-46&tag=googhydr-21Hooks at the back for internal www.amazon.co.uk/Keer123-Automatic-Container-Dispenser-Cockatiel/dp/B07F8R1DJM/ref=sr_1_47?adgrpid=97345987866&dchild=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIo4Lj0N7w6gIVUuztCh1ezg7wEAAYASAAEgJBcfD_BwE&hvadid=422674933124&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9046111&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=14278844680049963364&hvtargid=kwd-314031668523&hydadcr=7388_1812900&keywords=no+mess+bird+cage+feeder&qid=1595967305&sr=8-47&tag=googhydr-21

Ah, thank you, skysmum. So unfortunately neither would work for the Lokster. He would have the hooks off the cage in no time at all and his cage only has a couple of little doors that I've locked closed. I'd be concerned that he would damage the feeder and be loose out and a bout in the house with no supervision. Nothing escapes the attention of his beak.

Great idea, glad the buds are using them too skysmum, giving you less work. Sam must be the messiest budgie I've ever had, think he'd give your finches a run for their money 😂😂😂

You make that darling little boy sound like a little Gremlin Hezz But he is ... Everything and anything is something to be chewed, from your shoe laces to the window frames and everything in between. Luckily he seems to like me so I don't have too many large pieces missing. His saving grace is that there is no evil intent, except towards other people.
