I knitted this on the side for fun! I thought it was cute. For all my knitted stuff, I had to follow a pattern. I am not clever enough to make up my own!

I made these Shambala bracelets for charity. They sold really well. I should have made more but it is very time consuming.

So another aunt was pregnant. When we went to see her baby, I made her these. This was my first ever card I made that I thought looked good. I got cousin to take a photo of the baby as he went to see him before me. I didn't sew the bib below, it is a plain bib from Mothercare BUT I made stuff on the front! (That's his name!) I also made the baby onesie thing- it was plain white from Mothercare, I just designed something nice on the front.

A friend from work left to have her baby. She was a good friend of mine and I really miss her. I made her a few bibs for her little boy... I hope the next baby is a girl!! Again, I didn't make the bibs! They look perfectly sewn haha I just designed the front bit!

You are very clever and everything is beautiful. Don't put yourself down, I am just like you I think my things are never good enough. I have been doing parchment for 5 years in a class and then last year our teacher died and I was asked to take over the class, I then realised how much I had learnt, without realising it, and I was good at what I do. My daughter is a teacher and she said "mum, a teacher is only someone who knows more than the class". So I just think of that now.
I knit, sew, crochet, parchment, cards etc., the only thing I struggle with is Tatting, I can do needle tatting but struggle following the pattern, I think I will try shuttle tatting and see how I go.
The trouble is time, not enough of it, I teach crochet on a Wednesday as well, so every week I am making things for the classes so they can see how to do it and how it turns out, plus trying to make things for my soon to be grand child, fingers crossed.
The baby bag for sleeping is called a Growbag! I have just bought one, never thought of making one.
Well done to you, can't wait to see the budgie picture.

All of these things that you made and embroidered are great!
I did a little drawing at school but didn't keep it up and am nowhere near as good as you!

all brilliant.. you should set up your own design business online I always get scared that they will not be good enough to sell. As they are hand made products, there will be some imperfections and in today's world, everyone wants everything perfect! I shouldn't talk like that as I am a perfectionist haha 'Hypocrite'!

You sound like an incredibly talented person! I have never heard of tatting before. I looked it up, it is amazing! I would love to learn to do that. I have tried crocheting and managed a small granny square but I cannot follow patterns. I would love to learn. Well done for taking over the parchment class, that was really brave of you. You must be amazing at it as they asked you to take over Yes time is a problem. I find it hard as I work full time and I look after my father. It's hard trying to fit it in but I try and do something craft as often as I can as it keeps me calm. Yes! That's it... a growbag! Thank you. They're not so hard to make. You can buy sewing patterns and use that to cut out fabric, get something warm to go as a filler, insulated material or something and then sew up. It wasn't the worst but the zip can be tricky.

I say something similar when I see other peoples work. Here's a website with peoples drawings and it makes mine look rubbish. www.tumblr.com/tagged/polychromosI don't know how they get it so realistic. The thing is, we all have space to improve no matter what. We will always find someone better than us but that should give us motivation and the inspiration to try new things and to practice. Never give up, we can all achieve when we try and try and try

Also people would rather go and pay £5.00 for a birthday card in a shop than a handmade one. Some of my cards can take 10 hours to make but people look at you and say "well it is only hand made"!!!!!!! I know only give mine to people who respect and appreciate what I do. Shame you live in London, we could all crochet together Keep up the good work and hope dad is ok.

The baby bag for sleeping is called a Growbag! I think you meant a 'babygrow' suesbird? Or was it intentional??
