On Thursday afternoon I went for a walk around the local lake shown below. I enter from the bottom left hand corner and walk between the lakes and when I reached the end of the small lake as I looked across I could see a pair of Egyptian Geese with quite a few goslings, No.1 (approximate nesting site), I did take a few shots with my mobile but due to poor weather conditions the results were not great. Friday morning again I went to the lake to see if I could see how many goslings where there, I had just made my way to the small lake and there in front of me the whole family were swimming about, No. 2 Sadly when I took my grandson over the lake this morning (Saturday) there were no geese on the small lake so I continued to the main lake only to find the parents with just one gosling site mark No. 3

Aw lovely. I hope they haven't lost the other goslings to predators. Lovely photo's feathers.

Thank you Shirls and jellybean , nature seems really hard at times. I am sure she has lost the last one, I went over there this morning and they were all on the green in front of the club house, it is a sailing and fishing lake, they all made their way over and yes it had survived the night and I thought she just might keep this one. But while swimming along the waters edge I had looked away and when I looked back at them again I could not see the little wake at the rear, I can only assume it must have been pike? Both parents did come to feed and then returned along the same stretch of water looking and calling for the little one. It was their first clutch and I think she might have laid her eggs too early
