Hello there. Just wondered if anybody could tell the sex of this young budgie. I've been naming him/her, a him for now. I found him a week ago outside, and have been unable to find anyone who might own him, he had no foot ring either. Anyway, I've bought him a cage etc and decided to keep him, he's been doing really well the past week and making himself at home, but looking at other budgies etc I'm worried about the dark colouring on the cere. Also not sure on his age but from what I've read he might not be any older than 4 months because he still has some bars on his head. Any advice would be helpful! Thankyou

Your little boy is a lovely mature hen. She will probably always have the remnants of the barring on her head; it's called flecking.
