My baby Caboose just began panting for no reason at all. He has been inside his cage. I let him be after our little bonding session a few hours ago. I have no music on or tv. I have just been on my laptop. When I look at him I see him panting for no reason I can think of. It's not hot in my room and I haven't really moved at all to scare him. What could it be? Here is a video of him doing it.

That is not panting; it looks to me as though he has something caught in either his throat or his crop is not sitting entirely comfortably. Leave him alone and he will sort it out. It is nothing to be concerned about.

How can you tell? Some people are telling me it's a respiratory infection. And i'm worried because I have no avian vets in my city at all.

When budgies pant really hard, you can usually hear it. Can you hear Caboose ?
What temperature is the room? (I don't know which country you're in)

I can't see in the video, but is the tail bobbing?

As Marianne has said, panting can be heard. It is also much more regular. Your little birdie doesn't seem to be under any sort of stress ....... they do get seed husks caught sometimes, and the stretching of his neck is rather common as well, trying to settle his crop.

I agree with the above comments caboose Sometimes they need to pop their ears like we do too - the fact that he did a yawn as well helps with that as you know doubt know! So whether it be just needing to clear a stray seed or pop an ear I wouldn't worry
