Hello, This is Winston Chirphill and Franklin Roostevelt. I was convinced that Winston (on the left) was a male because his cere is a light purplish color. However, he is still quite young and he seems very territorial and moody. Could he possibly be a female? Thank you!

I am no way as experienced as other members on here but I would suggest the one on the left is a hen. Lets see what everyone else says! Welcome to the forum btw fuzzybird, if you like all things 'budgie' - you've come to the right place.

Welcome to the forum, I love their names! Very clever! But a name change might be in order if you find out that he is a she! Maybe you could consider:... Eleanor Roostevelt? Haha

I have rotated the middle image for you. I hope you don't mind. It saves getting a crick in the neck. In my amateur opinion Winston Chrphill will suit him fine.

I believe the bird on the left is female, the cere is quite light. Looks more blue than purple and very white around the nares (nostrils)

I always called heads when it was tails. I'll get it yet. It looks like it could be Emily Chirphill then.

It makes much more sense that Winston is a female. She doesn't sing like Franklin does. I also keep seeing Franklin bobbing his head at her and regurgitating food to her, which I read are pre-mating behaviors. Thank you for your responses.
