Brand New Budgie

Hi
I have two budgies (Ziggy & Bloo) and am currently beginning taming / training them. They are about 13/14 weeks old.
So far we’re doing well, both will land on my hand (with a bit of millet for coaxing) and will happily sit and eat there.
In the last few days though, Bloo has started to become very possessive, he comes to my hand first, sometimes getting on the millet itself, and then tells Ziggy off if he lands on my hand. Ziggy clearly wants to come to my hand but as soon as he lands Bloo sees him off.
Any ideas why this has started happening when the two seem happy together otherwise? And how can I stop Bloo from doing this? I want to be able to handle them both together.
All advice welcome
Thank you

Could it be pecking order coming into play. Maybe try getting them to come to you without the millet, or give each one a small piece of millet when the do land.

Work with them separately as well as together. One is always going to try to out-do the other; it is the nature of the beast, but spending time with each, individually, will give both a chance to bond with you, as well as with each other.
