Hi
One of my young male budgies born early last year has had problems flying tends to land hard, I noticed that its breast feathers were thin. Tonight when I went to close up aviary he had a lump on his breast. On investigation it appeared to be dirt and some seed attached to the feathers, I managed to pick of the seed, however I noticed that there was some blood there. I have brought him inside for tonight.
Can you advise me if this was some sought of growth or just chaffing from when he lands. Also is there anything I should put on the wound, it appears clean
He is very friendly and is quite happy to jump on to my finger when I close up the flight of a night
Thanks
Chris

It is a little hard to confidently give advice without seeing what you are talking about, Chris. Any chance of getting a clear photo?

This is where an antiseptic spray comes in handy Chris , a spray twice a day will help clean it up.
