They are a good brand right? I'm looking to buy a second cage as soon as possible so I can separate Raffa and Bud before something bad happens.. And also hopefully to prevent Raffa copying Bud's behaviour if that is a possibility.

I love my double height large vision cage. My two boys do as well I think.

I think I will get the medium, but now I need to decide whether I can afford and fit the tall in, or whether I need the short.

Can someone please tell me if they use the grid or if they cover it with paper? My new budgie was looking like he was having a hard time with his feet falling between the metal so I put paper in and now he's slip sliding about instead.

Put the paper on top of the grill lila, it is kinder to their little feet. What kind of paper have you put in that he is sliding about? You can use newspaper.

It is newspaper - but from a weekly. I will investigate the recycling. His flying isn't great so sliding before taking off is not helpful!

In my disabled budgies cage (they both have bad cases of splay leg and drag their bums around the cage) I just use paper towel on top of the grid. They don't slip and it's softer on their wee tummies and bums. It's also a good way to monitor poops if you have to.
