I went to a local pet shop the other day to buy Elfie a toy and they said i need to worm him every 3 months? I do not want to do any thing like that until i know i need to or it is safe!!?

i don't personally, i hate using chemicals unless i need to, not only that but it's expensive to worm budgies every three months "just incase". It's not all that common for them to get worms anyway.

Every 6 months spot your bird with ivermectin 0.1% this will kill all internal and internal parasites, including worms

Hi Barrie Where would i get ivermectin from?, and i know this sound like a stupied question but what do you mean by 0.1% , the amount i use? and is that easy to get right?? when you say spot do you mean on his back like you would a dog? sorry but so new to this and want to get it totally right for Elfie x

0.1% is the strength!! just one drop is enough. I use 0.8% on my guinea pigs! you can get it on ebay, tooo expensive from the vets!!!
