Hello! I just got two budgies- Perruche and Cosette- and I want to make sure their setup looks okay. Do I need more or fewer toys? Everything look safe for budgies? (My last bird was a canary, so I'm trying to get used to having parakeets again!) Thank you!

They just knocked over their Ferris wheel and knocked the cuttlebone on the floor. I need to get a holder for the cuttlebone so it's on the side of the cage and doesn't keep falling to the floor. The metal clips on them aren't enough!

Thank you for getting them a cage they can move about in; it's a beauty! To give them more space to do so, run your perches front to back, replacing the dowels with natural tree branches, from trees that are not harmful to budgies (quite a few sites on the 'net), so they have to fly the full width of your cage to get from side to side. Have two seed pots (one water container is fine), as you'll probably find that they will squabble over who goes first to eat unless yours are that rare breed of budgie who happily share a pot. I've never had one of them! Get plenty of branches so you can swap them around when the cage gets a clean, the same with toys (definitely more) so they don't get bored with the same old ones all the time. Swings - budgies love swings. Ladders, bells, rope perches, but watch out for tassels on any toy with rope. Cut them off as short as possible and if knotted, put a cable tie tight around the rope just under the knot so it won't come undone, and then cut off the rest.

Thanks, Hezz! Running out this afternoon to get more toys and branch perches! I'll also cut short the tassels on the knotted toy they have. Thanks so much for the advice!

Hezz has given great advice as usual. I just wanted to say that I love the name Perruche! Calling a budgie "Parrot" is very humorous

Thank you! I'm studying French right now, so I needed some French-named birds to be my little muses. haha Perruche and Cosette sit with me while I'm doing homework. Here's an updated photo of the cage- does it look okay? Thanks again for the advice, Hezz!

It all looks pretty good to me. The only things I would suggest is that you put a perch close to the seed pots, so they can hop off the perch onto the seed pot's perch, and if you can find a ladder that reaches from the floor up to about one third of the cage height, about where the rope ladder is, and add a firm perch, or platform, there, as a rest point.
