When I opened the curtains to the conservatory this morning there was a bird hovering in front of me. I soon realised it was Cookie the Dove. He then alighted on top of the buds cage and sat there looking very smug. I had been cleaning his cage last night while he was out and forgot to close the door on the front. He must have been flying around in there all morning. Well at least we know he can negotiate windows, we wont need to close the curtains when he comes out now.

Doesn't it upset the buds when he lands on the cage then?

NoOP, they take no notice of him at all. I think they are used to him being in the cage next door.

He was fast asleep on his usual perch when I put him away last night and it's pretty dark out here in the sticks with no street lights. There wasn't much mess at all. There were a few things on the floor that shouldn't have been and he had torn a few of my orchid flowers. From what I can gather he spent some time on top of the tortoise vivarium's. He seemed quite pleased with himself. Save

And why shouldn't he?? I reckon he was thumbing his beak at the buds - he was out and they were still in.

Have you got a recent picture of Cookie, it's a while since we have seen him or have I missed something.
