Not always, especially when you are trying to make them eat varied diet i.e. greens etc.

My girlfriend always keeps millet in her budgie's cage and he's 9 years old now! I only use it as a treat though

I only use it as a treat. Once a week. Sometimes only once every two weeks. I'm such a meanie. Otherwise they'll choose the millet over everything else.

Just like Stace says I give it to them occasionally. But weirdly enough they'll choose sweetcorn over millet, they LOVE that!

the question was millet not millet spray..................sprays i feed every other day as it is part of my birds balanced diet , forget the theory its fattening, its not............50% of my birds seed is plain canary, the other 50% is mixed millets

It is millet spary i am on about and i only have bird seed in any other time i occasionaly might give him a bit of apple of greens
