Interesting read.. Thanks for sharing!
Loved "fids" - feathered kids 😍🥰 and I agree with the social & natural need to bond with birdies..
I find peace with my little "fids" 🤩 and with my plants. Those are the places, creativity and innovation flows naturally for me!
I wanted a dog earlier, but my family doesn't like dogs. Since my mom had budgies and finches, I decided to get finches for me, but when I saw these two birdies, my heart was set on them and I brought them home. I was advised to get same colored birdies for a pair, but I observed both of them already bonded with each other. My heart went out at the thought of separating two bonded creatures. How stressful it would be, if it was me?! I have no idea how people judge birds by color or even think ever about shouting, dominating them! I find each and every bird equally cute and loving. My female yellow budgie cookie is very chatty with me and the moment she tilts her head at me, I am blown away at the cuteness factor ❤ The male budgie breezie is very caring, sings to everything and loves trying out new food 🥰
I was going through a difficult phase in life, when I got these angels. I don't even remember how I got through that phase.. Caring and pouring love for someone else is the best way to love yourself. Cookie and breezie taught me selfless love and I love it completely, when they stare at me sometimes with that gaze 😍❤ I can never imagine any other pet in my life now.. Eternally in love with budgies.. 🥰
Sorry for the long post.. Does someone else feel that they can't stop talking about their birds?! 🙈🙉 People around me call me obsessed with them 😅

mona I know exactly what you mean. These little feathered buds can certainly steal our hearts. I dread to think of the result if anyone tried to count how many times a day I mention budgies It's lovely to hear about Cookie and Breezie and we all love to see pics

willowsmum Here's Cookie (yellow one) n breezie (white one).. They eat from my hand, otherwise they are untamed.. They have been re-homed via a pet shop.. I've no idea about their prev exp, but they don't respond to any kind of taming training. I didn't push it further too.. It's been almost year, they never wanted to come out of the cage, just recently they came out on their own to explore, but they are scared of the room. Yet they want to explore too 🙈 It will take them months to get used to the room! I captured that moment, when Cookie was exploring cage in and cage out while coming out: They are pretty comfy with me being around them or eating, but it would be early to expect them to land on my hand 🙈 I'm just letting them be the way they are comfy. I believe they will come to me on their own, when they feel it like. For the time being, I want them to be happy, healthy and safe! During this time, I guess they think God sent me to earth, just to feed them some tasty yummy food and for a companion in their singing! 😂🥰 We usually bond over these two! Wishing them to get used to the room and be super happy again!
