Could someone please help me with this:- Elfies cage is in the living room but when it comes to bed time my other half sleeps on the sofa (due to really bad snoring) so to make sure Elfie gets a good nights sleep i move him in to the bedroom where there is no telly or snoring to trouble him but am i stressing him out by always moving him morning and night? If so what else can i do as i know its said that budgies should be in a quite room for their sleep time

No, I wouldn't be worried about it, Moogie. I often move my birds around from room to room, upstairs and downstairs. They are resilient little characters. I would only be concerned if you had an especially nervous budgie, and it doesn't seem that Elfie is that. PS I do understand about the snoring, too!

So, I'm not the only one that puts myself out to make sure my birds have a good nights sleep. Good to know! We tip toe around them when they are covered for the night!

Have you actually thought of getting something done about the snoring, it can be dealt with these days, then you could get back to normal...........poor hubby..........

Our bedroom is at the front of the house - I can hear him from the street in the morning when I walk the dog, and we have a long and steep driveway. It's not like the house is right at the front of the block.

Ear-plugs aren't enough, so I have a big fat cushion I put over my ear as well. The two together work okay, so I can usually get back to sleep. Sometimes takes a while, though.
