Poor little Luna, the female cockatiel, said her goodbyes today. She was never quite herself after Solar passed but she was cheerful to the end. Yesterday she was chirping as usual and seemed happy. This morning she was on the bottom of the cage looking very old and tired. She passed this afternoon. I have no idea how old she was as she was a rescue but had been through a lot I think. She had very few toes and her wing must have been broken at some point as it never sat right and she never flew. I like to think she had a few good years with us and was at last happy. Goodbye sweet Luna, I'll miss your little voice.

awww poor Luna. I am sure she was more than happy, even with her disabilities. They know when they are loved.
RIP Luna

Oh I'm sure Luna had a happy life with you starlingqueen. The major downfall with these wonderful creatures is they seem to leave us far too soon. Goodbye and Rest in Peace Luna.

I am sorry, starlingqueen. At least you were able to give her and her friend comfort in their latter years. Rest in Peace, little Luna.

Ian & Marshie were under strict instructions to live forever, but did they listen? Did they heck. (Actually that was normally their way whenever I tried telling them to do something ... )
