hiya everyone .... ive got 5 budgies ..... and my neighbour has 2 budgies and 3 cockertiels ... his cockertials on eggs which have embrio's in and im hoping to claim a male if they hatch ok ... but today i got offered a male cockertiel for free which i agreed to take in ... now my neighbours birds all go fine together so im hoping the cockertiel will go fine with mine ..... just wondering if anyone has any advice ect? btw i love cockertiels i had 1 when was younger and had him talking

Budgies should generally go ok with cockatiels in large Aviary's where they have plenty space to avoid each other. In a home setting, for instence a small cage (even a large one) it is very dangerous and the cockatiel could kill a budgie. so in a home setting they would need separate cages.

my neighbour has 2 albino budgies which live with his cockertiels no problem ... i did not get a male cockertiel today my neighbour came home with a female i told him keep it... im getting one or 2 of his eggs is there are males

my budgies dont live in cages ... they are free in my home ... aswill the cockertiel also

I'm no expert but I think a lot of resurch needs to be done on what birds can be put together.

marianne its quite weird how they sleep lol ... one of my birds sleeps on the swing .. ive just bought them a new cage which was a little bigger .. but they always use to stay around the cage they never slept anywere but the cage ..
