OP , I saw on the news the other night a lady who had just been given an operation for the same condition you have, I thought of you when I watched it. Seems to have helped her. I'm sorry to hear too that your eyes are getting worse.
Edit:- Just looked it up. It was on BBC News, her name is Janet Osborne, and she lives in Oxford, if that is any help to you looking it up to read OP.

Thank you everyone. samwiseg & & spadger1 I had an injection Satueday 16th of Feb. After two years of no deteriation in the left eye it became active again. The right eye is stable at the moment. I had a short read of the mentioned article jellybean and for once the descriptions were quite close. The problem is that once the macual has become danged it is damaged for good. I wish the lady well and hope the disease has been stopped. Only time will tell on that one. Thank you for the large print, it is easier to read, however when I look at very large print the letters have chunks missing or are nissing altogether. I am touch typing this post and correct the errors that get underllined in red. 'm still reading what I can and will partake when I can. It won't be as often though.

Yes things were rather settled at a more manageable level ffiscool, but I always knew the condition was was not curable and could start again. I can still manage to do most things it's just reading ingeneral not just the forum. It is bloody frustrating at times. Thank you for the thoughts.

Such a shame OP, but I suppose eye problems vary from person to person, let alone all the different types of problem one can get. I know my Dad had a different problem in each eye, but they managed to save 50% vision in one eye. You do really well considering and long may you do so. We love your input and humour on theforum.

Yes Shirls although I have the same condition in both eyes the sight is different in each eye. The visual acuity is very poor in my keft eye and moderate in the right. Thank you four kind words, but it is difficult keeping the chin up when I very often have to read the sam lines two even theree times for them to make sense. Which is more than can be said for the spelling my posts. I will keep ;looking in but may not answer as much as I used to.

OP , it's a shame you can't ask Alexa to read the forum posts.By the way, I am now officially Alexa-less... But still have the scars that prove she was once here!
