Ok just to clarify this, if a male budgie is opaline and is paired to a non opaline hen should all females from this pairing be opaline? Does this work the same for Lacewing?
It's just this is what I am seeing more people say recently yet in my lacewing cocks to non lacewing hen pairings I have had non lacewing hens and lacewings hens produced as well as normal cocks which obviuosly are split to lacewing.

Sex-linked mutations work just as Rachel explained so a lacewing cock's daughters would all be lacewing. Sometimes lacewing chicks have very light markings and they can easily be mistaken for inos. The light markings can be caused by the presence of greywing or dilute mutations
