Been ages since I've posted about my babies.
I now have 6.
I lost Pamela. Think I can remember starting a thread. The b*** just flew off.
I now have Harry, Davina, Stacey, Jordan, Club & Mitch.
They're all breeding pairs so I'd like to try my hand at breeding. Something I've wanted to do since starting the hobby over a year a go now.
Got Stacey, Jordan, Club & Mitch last night. Now have 6!!
Poor Club has a deformed foot, hence the naming of 'Club' because it looks like a golfclub as he only has two toes and they're shaped like a club. Still, it doesn't affect him in any way.
So yeah, breeding....
Buying three/four nestboxes and putting them in the cage is going to be difficult. I'm going to buy another cage. Not one as big as my current one.
I just want some advice really like attaching the breeding box to a new cage? How do you do this and with what?
Secondly, catching a breeding pair and putting them in there could be quite difficult. If I attach a nesting box will they go in anyway?
Will it be a problem having the two cages next to each other?
I only want to breed a pair to start with.
Hope you lot can help.
p.s - It would be so much easier to buy a breeding cage which have the nesting box attached, but they're £30 on ebay. Would rather get a rather big cage for the same price and fit my own nestbox which i have. Not sure how though.
thanks.
