Hello everyone .I have my new little pal Buddy .He is only 6 weeks old and as yet is very quiet and hasn't eaten which is worrying me a little, but he has just chirped for the first time so I guess he will do things in his own time.He has come from the same breeder as Charlie did so I am very pleased about that .I haven't worked out how to upload a Photo but I will send this first and have a go at a photo later..Thankyou all for your kind messages about little Charlie .I shall keep posting about Buddy

I'm glad you have your new little friend! Put the seed around the cage, some on the floor, and some near to where he sits most of the time at the moment so he can find it easily, and don't worry, I'm sure he will be eating soon. Welcome along Buddy! x

Buddy will be feeling a bit scared for at least a few days coming to a new place without his mum and dad. As Sarah says, scatter the seed around. It will be what he's been used as a little chick, foraging on the floor for it. Hang some small millet spray too, near to where he sits.
Just talk softy to him all the time, so he gets used to your voice, wink at him too, so you don't look like a scary predator. A little bit of low constant noise helps them feel safer too - like the tv or radio.
I'm so happy you have a new buddy. It will be a bit of a journey for you both, getting to know and trust each other. I was so touched by your loss of dear wee Charlie.

Brilliant! Am so happy for you and Buddy - we got Monts at 6 weeks too and she stayed at the bottom of the cage for the first few days we also did the same as Sarah suggested - put some seed down - he will soon find his feet am sure. Hope he will be just as much of a chatterbox as Charlie was! ;D

Hi cupoftea. I use www.imageshack.us then right click on the photo when it's uploaded and copy and paste the link.

Still can't figure out how to upload a pic .help! This is how I do it: 1. When you select "reply" to a message (not quick reply) your "post reply" will appear. 2. Next to "Image Upload Links", select "TinyPic" and it will bring up a seperate window 3. Choose if you wish to upload an image or video and then select "upload now" 4. Go through the security bit 5. Once your image or video has loaded, you will be given a list of http codes 6. "Copy" and "paste" the code for "IMG code for Forums & Message Boards" into your Post Reply text. It will show as a link, but when you preview your message it will show as a picture. Hope that helps!

Thanks Samwiseg that is much better than what I wrote! Thank you Marianne! When I first joined the forum, I found it a bit tricky to work out how to get a photo on but got there in the end. Would it be worth doing a Sticky for it?
