Are you looking for lighting to replicate sunshine?

For that sort of information, I suggest you contact the company who make these bulbs - www.arcadiabird.com/uv-lighting/Or perhaps contact the British Budgerigar Society. They should be able to put you onto someone who can give you all the necessary info. Unless Ireland has their own version of the BS?? www.budgerigarsociety.com/ Make sure you get bird-specific bulbs as reptile bulbs operate at a different wave length, and cause damage to the birds' eyes ... apparently. The individual bulbs that pet owners use for a single cage have very specific distances where the lights are beneficial, which is why I suggest you get information from the people who have the ability to answer all your questions.

The Arcadia Bird Company are really helpful if you give them a ring dunmurryboy. I have used them before.
