Hello! I have a new budgie, I just got him last week on Wednesday. Hes really pretty, recessive pied clear flight I think? But I'm wondering about his cheek/throat patches. He has two different colours on both sides, one white with black throat spots and the other is black/blue with no throat spots. Could he be a chimera?

Do you mean a halfsider? where both sides are different?

I don't think he's a halfsider, because usually both sides of the budgie would be totally different colours. He's a beauty for sure though    |

Different coloured cheek patches are reasonably common in pied budgies, so no, not a chimera.

Oh, no! This is common at reccesive pieds! My li'l Lino has odd cheeks and is same mutation as well.
