Help sexing, aging and identifying mutation

Hi all. I recently got two budgies from a rescue Center. They were left on the doorstep in a cage so don’t know any history.
My back ground is in cockatiels so I’m not terribly familiar with the details of aging and sexing budgies. I was wondering if anyone can help me with my two. I think the Lutino is a mature bird as it seems to have a white iris. The other one, I have no idea what mutation it is, seems to have some lacing on its wings but also still has some of the batting feathers still on its cap and cheeks so I think it might be juvenile?

Anyway, any help with sexing, aging and mutation if possible is greatly appreciated.

The recessive pied is an older, mature hen, how old only she could tell you. Once a budgie is mature there are no indicators for age. Looks like she is also a spangle.

Lutino or double factor spangle?? I'm not so sure. Looks like an older male to me, especially if he has an iris ring. What colour are the feet, and does he have a ruby eye?

They both have light pink feet and the Lutino has dark red eyes so I’m fairly sure it is a Lutino.
The other one has solid black eyes which is why I thought it might be young.
Could you tell me what spangled means? I’m not familiar with that term.

Okay, so the "yellow bird" is a lutino (male) - pink feet and dark red eye. The hen is a recessive pied; recessive pieds don't get an iris ring but keep a solid black eye, nothing to do with age. Spangle is where the colouring seems like it is swapped around. The following link probably explains it best: www.budgie-info.com/spangle-budgie.html

Any names in mind yet? It took me ages to name my Impy as I wanted to gauge her character first and Impy is just perfect for her. What are they like?

Well we have gone with the Lutino being a male so he’s called Luke Skywalker and the pied as female is called Britney. Can you tell we have a six year old son?!
