Last night while i was in the bath as normal the birds were running around the floor. (bath time is now budgie time) I put out there toys and a millet and a little bath and put towls down on the floor. Well while they were playing a scary tiny fly started hovering around by the floor (obviously planning something evil). Eagle ran straight up to it and chaced it round for ages untill it flew away. He then stood tall, and strutted around all impressed with himself for driving off the dangerous killer fly.

Oh, I wish you had a video of the brave Eagle strutting around after he saved you from the evil fly. He is such a little character.

I can just imagine! They are so funny. Grrrrrr, glad that fly has been conquered. He was playing knight and rescuing his damsel in distress aka Ada.

What a great story! I'll bet the word is now out among killer flies, dragons, vampires and the like - "Don't go in that house, the gladiator budgie lives there!" Maybe Eagle would prefer a nice treat like some millet to a medal though? aAnd it would be easier to make the presentation..

I can see it now, the evil insects conferencing over which house to invade - or not!!!! I am sure millet would be appreciated! Who can eat a medal?

Ill have to get a sign saying 'warning guard budgies' lol. I got them some huge millit last night and a seed bell each. Ada is very impressed.......Eagle not so much as i was touching his millit when i was putting it in his cage (I think he expects them to magicly float into his cage lol) and i got shouted at as where i put the seed bell blocked his view of ada so i had to move it so once i stopped toughing his stuff he stood there staring at this millit that was 5 times his size (he is a midgit) then snuck up on it and had a nibble.

The killer flys got revenge tonight i think, some towls fell and knocked everything off the draws and they all fell down the stairs. Ada was terrified and was laying on the floor of her cage, Eagle was of course not scaired at all but i got ada out and gave her some hugs to make her feel better and offered a bath as she was burning hot and eagle wanted to come too. However it seems the killer flys must have teamed up with the dog as she came charging through the door. Eagle hates the dog and fell to the floor in panic crying and then ada panicked and jumped, landed on the dog and fell off her onto the floor. I chucked out the dog and scouped up the birds and eagle sat there shaking and even let me give him a kiss on his back. Both are ok luckerly.
