I brought a budgie around 2 months ago and he was 3 weeks old then. But recently we have seen severe changes in sky. He barely eats and drinks so as a results has lost a lot of weight. But more recently he can't walk or even fly. He is constantly bumping into doors and mirrors even though he has not got his wings clipped. He seems really unhappy and weak. He barely makes any noise and sleeps all day. We have 3 other budgies but 2 of them love to pick on him as they are always biting him and won't let him sit on his favourite perch. He is always sneezing and trembling and I don't know what to do. Also his a few of his tail feathers are missing but we can't seem to see them any where. But he has been even more upset after our other budgie flew away. I have booked an appointment with the vet but I was wondering if you guys would have any advice or helpful tips. Please anything would be helpful.

When is your vet appointment??
Can you seperate him from the others into a cage of his own.
Maybe post some pictures or a video of his behaviour and others will hopefully advise you.
I would try and get to a vet as soon as possible.

Have i read this right, he was three weeks old when you brought him?. If that was the case he was way to young to leave mum and her feeding.
I would put him in a cage of his own somewhere warm and cover the cage on three sides, try making him a mash of dried egg food with warm water and if necessary hand feed him until he sees the vet.

Please do as the ladies have suggested above.
I hope the poor little budgie survives.

Bless him he shouldn't have left his mother so young. You need to hand feed him as he probably doesn't know how to feed himself. Dried egg food with warm water will feed him up. Whoever sold you the bird should have known he was too young to leave his Mum! you have to be his Mum for now ....

Baby rice food is also good as a pick-up. Get this bird to the vet asap, please. Replace his water with this electrolyte solution: 1 cup warm water 1/2 tablespoon sugar 1/8 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon baking soda Stir well, making sure the sugar and salt dissolve. It will keep for 2-3 days in the fridge, but be sure to bring to room temp or slightly warmer before giving to the bird. If he is not drinking you may have to syringe it to him every hour or so.
Isolation, calm and quiet is important. Cover the cage and give him a heat lamp or heating pad to help keep his body temp up. Fingers crossed it is not too late for your budgie.

Yes we brought him when he was 3 weeks old but we were told it wouldn't make a difference and this was the first budgie we had brought. His appointment is on Tuesday. However he can't walk anymore. This has been a new development and we have separated him but he is tried to scramble back to his cage with the other budgies. But he refuses to eat and barely drinks any water.

Poor little thing, this makes me feel very sad. How irresponsible for a breeder to let a budgie go at 3 weeks old.
Can you try and feed him yourself? drop some (a tiny amount so he does not breathe it in) mushed up food in his beak or bring him to it?

He has had a few seeds today but as he is very aggressive at the moment which is totally not normal he is biting my hand. Would someone please help me as to how to make his food. And thank you everyone for you help.

You could boil and mash an egg, Thats simple. Or get dry egg food and add a little warm water.
Or buy baby food (nothing with chocolate or avocado in it)

Thank you so much everyone. We are currently feeding him mashed bananas while my sister gets the baby food. And he is drinking the electrolyte water and has gained at lot of energy. He is still quite unwell but he is a fighter and is doing a lot better since we have separated him and put him in a quiet room. However his walk is still quite bad.

He’s got a better chance today than yesterday 🤞🏻

Thank you so much everyone. But I was wondering if you guys had any tips on how to give sky water because when he does have it he makes a mess and gets himself extremely wet so we have to constantly dry him.
