Hector and Polly are cagebound due to various issues.
She has a fatty lump and can't fly because of it, she's too heavy.
He has not been able to fly for years due to possible arthritis and he also mutilates his wings, has a lump on his back and a dodgy foot. I know it sounds as though he has no quality of life but he's still lively despite these issues.
He needs to eat more, she needs to eat less. But they both need exercise.
Any ideas? can't really let them run about on the floor, he hates it and tries to jump up constantly and fly (which he can't)
She just runs away and is really hard to catch!!

So glad they are still enjoying themselves. Is there anything you can concoct, length wise that the could walk along, with things at the side to stop them deviating away. As they canβt fly it just needs to be high not covered at the top. Like two budgie stair gates sort of

What about the bendy ladders....you could hang them from the roof or connect then to make all sorts of shapes?

I'd let Hector be, live out his twilight years in relative comfort. Does it matter, at this stage, whether he is a bit tubby, or not? The obvious answer, re Polly, is to let her loose and try to catch her! Pity she is not a bit tame, so that she would know that you weren't trying to catch her for dinner. I don't really have any answers for her, I'm sorry.

Hector is not tubby Hezz, if anything he's underweight. I was just worried he was bored.

Can you actually imagine Polly using it though? "hmm, I'm getting a bit fat, I must hit the gym"

I saw a video on FB a while back where a person's conure had "invaded" the budgies' cage and was trying to use the hamster wheel. Conure was a tad too big!
