So I've decided its time to get Kiwi a buddy. I have ample room. So, I am planning on putting in extra toys, extra food and extra water that way there will be no fights. I need advice, and possibly a list of things I might need. Thanks for the help!

You need a second cage; the new bird needs to be quarantined away from your current bird for four weeks ... budgerigarsforum.proboards.com/thread/6794/important-quarantineNever put a new bird straight into the resident bird's cage - that can lead to fights. Once quarantine is over, place the cages side by side and watch how the two react to each other, and initially only give them out-of-cage time together, having them return to their own cages when they need to be locked in. Supervise their time together initially to be sure that one is not going to bully the other. After several days/a week of living side by side and observing how they are together you might be able to look at having them together in one big cage, but don't rush that - only when they are ready.
