Its amazing how they've adapted really isn't it. Yes, especially as it's quite cold at the moment. I wonder how they keep warm.

Perhaps like long tailed tits do and snuggle up together - or go a roost in rooves where there are holes to be had

My gran used to have one as a pet when I was young. It talked I think.

I'm amazed that they manage to live there in the wild. I haven't seen wild parakeets here in California. When I lived in Florida, I saw wild flocks of parakeets. They were from pets that had gotten away over the years and were able to thrive because the temperatures are so mild.

I did google it and read the article. It must be amazing to see them in the wild. They are heartier than I thought! They just blend in with the foliage.
