tweetiepiesmom Karma. They get just what they deserve. Paying the price for their own greed quite literally.

As lovely as it is to have good weather, if it had been cold and wet, it would have kept more people in

Until they completely stop construction from working we will not get a lock down. We have stopped our men from working but we are getting lots of emails from building suppliers saying they are open, place an order and wait at the gate in your van. People want our tiler to work, he has said no, but the client said "well I have the electrician and plumber here, so we could get this job done." My husband was in a dilemma because the government say you can work, but as we pointed out to our staff, they may be safe where they are working but what about their families and you never know who you might see during the course of the day, luckily our men are sensible and agreed. On a good note, my daughter and son in law are feeling better, my daughter's taste has started to come back so she is really happy. Thankfully they have only had it mildly but are in lock down for another week. On the really good side, because my husband can't work he is doing all those jobs he has been promising for the last 2 years.

I went to the chemist yesterday to collect hubby's prescription. The lady behind the counter bless her looked like something out of a science fiction film. Mask, gloves and apron. I had to stand behind a red line marked on the floor and only two allowed in at a time.

Last night I worked myself into a panic and convinced myself I had it. I even packed a bag for the hospital. I'm asthmatic and I have a bit of a cold so my chest was a bit tight. I coughed a few times and started scaring myself senseless. I went to bed really worried, slept like a log and feel much better today. This thing is so scary. Who knows, I might have mild symptoms. I went onto NHS 111 which just told me to stay at home, which I'm doing anyway.
My pharmacy is a few miles away and they don't deliver here. I have arranged to drive there when my repeat script is ready, ring them when I'm outside and they will bring it out and hand it to me through the car window. A bit of a faff but I moved away and there are nearer pharmacies and surgeries, but they know me and I don't want to change. I'll ring again before it's due. I hear they have NHS volunteers now to deliver prescriptions.

I totally get how you feel. I today am convinced I am getting something. I am blocked, sore throat, feel hot.. but again it is probably a bit of a sniffle, cold, hay fever. I have never thought about getting things or not in the past, but this is on a beyond belief scale. I had gone to local shops and there were people closer than 2 metres, last week.. I am not going anywhere again now. I had loads of veg with my dinner tonight, and will go for a walk tomorrow, to try to boost my system with vit D too.
good idea re the chemist. luckily mine deliver if needed.
hope you stay feeling better..

I hope you blue48 and ffiscool both have nothing to worry about, and feel better soon. This thing has made us all, understandably, a bit edgy.

Hope you're all staying healthy.
Sometimes I feel hot but I have an in ear thermometer that I got for Eve and I checked us all today and we're fine.
For some reason I am always hotter than everyone else.

blue48 and helenmat - I don't believe it!!!! I phoned the pharmacy in Asda yesterday to ask about my prescription (I am over 70), they don't deliver, so I had to go and get it!!!! No barriers, no red line on the floor, no PPE on the chemist, one plus, down to customers, had to queue albeit 2/3 metres apart. How bad is that!!

I thought my pharmacy might make an exception and deliver to me, but I am out of the catchment area of both my surgery and the pharmacy, which is never usually a problem. My son is a keyworker, works for the water company in Luton, and they have so many people self isolating he is working long hours. I don't want to ask him. My other son lives at the other end of the county.
Just a thought - could you ask them if they could let you use the click and collect system so at least you don't have to go into the store?
