Hi everyone. Hope you are all well at this strange place in our history... I have been away from this forum for a while but thought I'd start a new post. We rescued a small budgie last year that was found in somebody's garden. They were feeding it and had it kept in a rabbit hutch... The short story is that nobody came forward for it so we took it in. She was very nervous for quite a while but last week I had a bit of a break through and she jumped onto my hand to feed.

Nice to "see" you again, Mr G. Now who's who in that handsome line-up? The two boys in the middle look like mirror-images of each other.

Thanks Hezz. Hope you and the family are well x The two in the middle are brothers, Willow and Woody (sons of Rio at the far end and Izzy who unfortunately is no longer with us) Woody and willow are inseparable but due to Willows constant feeding Woody is quite a chunk and often struggles to lift his own weight when flying! I had no intention of breeding again but Annie and Rio became an item. I could tell she was trying to find a suitable nest. I found her in the feeder one day. But when I was cleaning out the indoor flight I discovered she had chewed a hole and was getting out into the cavity between the aviary and house to nest. Annie and all of the others could have just gone! Anyway (sorry for this long post!) I patched the hole up and put a nest box in. After laying two rounds of eggs with Rio Annie has discovered that he is no longer a young man any more. She has now moved onto a relationship with Rios son Willow. A bit painful to watch and feel so sorry for Rio but fingers crossed all will work out in the end... Nice to "see" you again, Mr G. Now who's who in that handsome line-up? The two boys in the middle look like mirror-images of each other.

Oh, dear; thrown over for a toy-boy! That must have hurt the male pride. I hope all works out for the best, in the end. Thankfully you found the hole in the cavity before any decided to explore further.
