I have a weeks holiday booked for June and also a week in September (cant wait) but I'm going to be worried about Elfie..My mum said she would have him but she has a big dog and will also be looking after my dog and the only place Elfie would be safe is upstairs She has said that she will sit with him ect but she always has alot on and i just dont want him to be stuck on his own most of the time plus she has no ideas about cleaning his cage/perches ect (although i would show her i am still concerned! I would prefer him to be with some one who knows about budgies needs and wonderd if any body knew of any Budgie sitters around,i live in sw london ( Richmond surrey) of corse i would pay...if any body knows of any one who does this could you please let me know X

It is only a week, moogie. Elfie will be fine and Mum will be good. I understand your concern, but just wish to reassure you that Elfie will be 100% okay. Also if you clean out Elfie's cage before you take him to Mum's, she won't have to worry about that side of things - that will give her more time to talk/play with him.

It is understandable, but I did want to ressure you, he will be all right. Yes, he probably miss you, (you hope so anyway, just a little), but it won't be a problem. He may have a little sulk (Blue has done that to me), but he will be okay.
