They are lovely! So how do you sex them? Does the male always have blue feathers above the cere?

In the Rosa variety which is what my other Hen is, the males will have a pinker head and the females have a grey head with pale pink on it. No clue how to sex the other mutations though lol! Still looking up all the genetics on them as well, I have been told hens have a flatter head but can't personally see it myself.

Ooooo I love bourkes:) And yours look pretty tame too! I have a pair called Barney and Betty who live loose in the birdroom. I tried them in the budgie aviary but the budgies were a bit mean to them so I gave them a small flight to themselves and left the door open and they are in and out all day:) They are so easy to keep and don't chew stuff like the budgies do, or get into trouble like budgies do either;)

Hi there, Love your Bourkes!! I have 14 at the moment but have to part with four as they are getting a little overcrowded in their aviary space. I've had Bourkes for several years & just love them, so have found it very very difficult trying to choose who to sell to good homes. Every time I went into their flight to make a decision they would all line up, cock their little heads on a side & peer down at me as if to say "you couldn't part with me, could you??". Has taken me weeks to decide They are very endearing little birds & love to call out to us with their melodious little voices

Their back wing markings really remind me of my Abbie. Especially this one
