I think what Nev meant was that the colors in pictures can be different from what they are in person. It's not that there is something wrong with your pictures. It just that it is very difficult to be sure about such mutations just by looking at a picture or two Just a thought from me, anyhow Nev will respond to your question.

Hi BudgiesBuddy, I am no good at telling which are which the Goldenfaced from yellow-faced type 2nd, in both single & double fractors. Still need help. I have a book about "A Guide to Colour Mutations & Genetics in Parrots" The page 153 say: Double Factor Parblue (more blue than ParblueBlue) Double Factor ParblueBlue These two birds are "Goldenfaced Cobalt" It is very difficult for me to correctly ID the Golden-faced Cobalt from yellow-faced type 2nd. Double factor violet-cobalt is a true violet-cobalt budgie, while single factor violet-cobalt look same to normal cobalt budgie. Worse is the violet-skyblue is same as cobalt in appearance. Add violet form and grey form, can change the colours of birds, etc the single factor yellow-faced type 1st violet-cobalt budgie is a purple-bodied bird with creamy yellow face, while the single factor yellow-faced type 1st grey-cobalt budgie is a grey-bodied bird, with creamy yellow face.
