And what they all said! Do think also about Sarah's suggestion of getting an air purifier. It may make Mum's life easier too. Birds in enclosed spaces produce a lot of dander which can be detrimental to anyone's health, let alone someone with health issues. UK people, help here, I think they are fairly cheap to buy and fairly cheap to run???

You can buy them cheaply from time to time in places like Savers where I have seen them before, or maybe Robert Dyas would be a good bet. I bought mine online- it wasn't cheap- it is a Bionaire with a permanent HEPA filter, but I have to say it is absolutely brilliant, and over the lifetime running costs it will only be pence per day which is nothing in return for clean air for us and our birds. There are quite a few online companies if you search and plenty of choice of models that can be delivered in the UK

I can definitely recommend the Bionaire, those ones look very similar to the one I have though not exactly the same.
