Hi everyone, Recently bought these 2 budgies. I know the grey one is a male but confused about the green one. They are not of the same age but they are both around 3-4 months. If anyone can clarify the genders for me, I would appreciate it. Thank you

The green one looks female. Usually they have white around the nostrils until they get bigger.

The grey definitely is all boy; the green I initially thought hen as well, but the light seems to be hitting right on its cere and maybe washing out the colour, so that I see a very pale cere but no real rings. Do you see definite white rings around the nostrils? Is another photo possible?

I wouldn't say that they have any definite rings, its more like a gradient? It also has some blue on both ends of the cere.

I'd have to call the green a hen based on those photos.

Thank you all for your insight. I'm still unsure as the pictures don't show the actual full color because they are in the sunlight but once they mature, it will be more clear the gender of the bird.

That's what I was concerned about - the light washing out the colour, and with no definite white rings. If you are able to get a photo that best represents what you see, then post it up and we can have another crack at it.
