Hi, so I've been looking after a pair of neglected budgies and trying to bond with them a little. The problem is, one of the budgies has been bobbing his head up and down as if he's regurgitating. At first I thought it was normal, but after a while I became concerned. He's also been sitting at the bottom of the cage more frequently.
This morning, I noticed there was some kind of off white liquid substance on the side of his face and all around his mouth area. Is this serious enough for a vet appointment? Have any of you experienced this? Any replies will be appreciated.

This definitely sounds like a vomit rather than regurgitation, and yes it is serious enough for a vet visit. When they regurgitate they bring seed up from their crops to feed chicks or their mates, is normal and healthy; vomiting comes from further down the digestive tract and is definite cause for concern.
