it's really just a personal thing, but as a general note, it gives them fresh air and most importantly sunlight - which ofcourse also gives them D3 a very important vitamin. But they should be fine and happy with the space they have inside.

You have wonderful neighbours then, Gerwyn! I love the fact they have asked you for an outside flight so they can appreciate your birds too.

I think it depends on the weather. People in UK can't use outside flight for half the year because of the winter. Here we can't use it over 8 month due to heat. But people with mild weather have all the flights outside.

hi I live in cold uk north yorkshire . my birds use the outside flight all year , unless it is realy cold, then only for a couple of hours. I let them out at 10a.m. and lock them in around 4p.m. .

I have an outdoor flight and I love sitting outside watching the budgies zooming around the flight. In fact Ihave hated this past few months because the budgies have had to be kept in the indoor flight and I can just tell that they would rather be out. They even stand on the little shelf next to the hatch door giving me pitiful looks as if to say "Let us out mum!" lol So I say that you should have an outdoor flight for them, the sunlight, fresh air, and space will benefit them greatly.
