I bought my two budgies from one of those street shops that place 20 birds in a single 12x12x12 cage, and at first they were perfect but in the 2 weeks after I bought them their poop was key lime pie green with a white hard piece in the center and was surrounded in a puddle of light green urine. I was incredibly worried but my dad told me it was merely stress, and I grudgingly believed him. And now in the present their poop is black (with hints of green) with the same white hard spot, rigid, and clear urine. Was my dad right? I did change them from a all seed diet to a bird food blend that labels itself as "nutritionally complete".

Some birds need gradual change from an all seed diet to anything else. I chose to continue with the same seedmix they were on and tried working on the diet upgrade after they settled in nicely.
Also, any thing dyed in their new food might be changing color.
Others will be able to add useful inputs. Hang in there!
Could you also post the photo of their poop? Make sure you have a white plain paper on the cage base for clarity. Also, could you post the ingredients of the new bird food blend that you have been feeding? A photo of the bird food and the birdies will be helpful too. That will help others to judge the scenario better.

round786 - How are your birds doing now? It does sound like it may have just been stress, as stress and not eating can cause wet green poops, but if you are still having any concerns please update us. Close up photos of the poop on white paper and the name of the food they are eating or it’s ingredients list as Mona has described would also be helpful.
